Data Engineer – Kafka/Airflow – iGaming

A skilled Data Engineer is required to join the expanding data engineering team of a renowned iGaming company here in Malta. Due to an influx of new project work and the continuous growth of the data warehouse, an experienced pair of hands is needed to get involved – particularly around the tool Kafka. The company utilises both AWS and GCP cloud technologies, giving you the opportunity to get a taste for both and decide which you’d prefer ot specialise in. 

The Senior Data Engineer will join at a crucial time and take the lead in building and maintaining the data warehouse. As Senior Data Engineer, you will collaborate on the design of data flows, automation of processes, and continuous improvement of ETL efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain the data warehouse

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in a Data Engineer role
  • SQL scripting and querying
  • ETL integration tool (SSIS, Airflow, Knife)
  • Previous experience with Kafka (required for the Senior role)
