Our Client is a key player in the Fintech industry and they are currently looking for a Data Analyst to join their growing team.
Job Responsibilities: 

The chosen candidate will work alongside the Head of Operations and the different stakeholders within the teams and be responsible for the administration and execution of all data analysis related tasks. The key areas of focus will be to:

  • Examine and maintain existing methodologies, processes and tools for collecting and storing data both internally and from external sources
  • Preparing data for analysis, data analysis and reporting
  • Assist in finalising development of a new data repository and ensuing data migration, and maintain data integrity and conformity across all platforms in use
  • Redevelop existing and develop new data analysis and reporting tools and to port them to the new data repository, such as automated daily, weekly and monthly reports
  • Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Report and interpret performance data to deliver key highlights to the various business units on a regular basis
  • Recognise and extract critical indicators from large and complex data sets; interpret and express these indicators in a business context
  • Refine existing and design new reporting requirements, such as client engagement, startup performance, marketing & sales metrics, including visualizations
  • Compile and maintain a directory of all data collection, analysis and reporting methodologies, processes and tools
Candidate Skills: 
  • Qualified to degree level in IT, Statistics, or a related field
  • At least 2 to 3 years experience working in a business intelligence role ideally within the financial services sector
  • Preference will be given to candidates with proven exposure to the startup markets, ecosystem and stakeholders - experience in other financial services sectors would be valued
  • A strong knowledge of business intelligence tools, advanced spreadsheet functionality and query programming language (SQL), coupled with a strong ability to pick up new data tools/concepts quickly
  • Enthusiastic about getting involved in the daily execution of data analysis tasks
  • Adept at accurately analyzing and documenting your findings and developing complex reports
  • Strong analytical and methodical reasoning skills
  • Passion for effective problem solving, metrics analysis, content creation and presentation
  • Eager to support the organization by figuring out how to best present results of data analysis,resulting in error-free, timely, effective and efficient decision making
  • Apart form the specific tools mentioned above, excellent computer skills and proficiency with office suites (preferably Google’s Apps suite including Sheets, Docs, Gmail and Calendar)
  • Excellent written and spoken English; German and/or French a plus
  • Strong organizational & supervisory skills while remaining flexible and courteous, with a demonstrated commitment to the utmost professional ethical standards
  • Entrepreneurial personality, comfortable in a small, fast-paced start-up environment
