The Client
Our client is a very successful and steadily growing hedge fund asset management business headquartered in Valletta, Malta. The are currently looking for a Hedge Fund Administration Officerto join their team in Malta.
Job Responsibilities: 
  • Assisting the Operations team in the confirmation, settlement and reconciliation of all trading activity
  • Assisting the team with the Month end NAV process including P&L/price verification, accruals/expense checks and fee calculations
  • Working with the funds prime brokers, administrator, execution brokers and any other service providers
  • Assisting the team with all Fund related functions including but not limited to Corporate Actions, Commission sharing and general reporting
  • Assisting the team with Investor Communications
  • Working on projects including the launch of new Funds/Managed Accounts
Candidate Skills: 
  • A degree in banking, finance or accountancy/ ACCA qualification
  • A minimum of 1-2 years Investment banking/Hedge Fund experience or alternatively the same level of experience at a Hedge Fund Administrator is required
  • Exposure to and a good understanding of a number of asset classes ideally including Equities, Derivatives, Fixed Income and Foreign Exchange
  • Methodical, structured and rigorous approach to delivery
  • Well organised and comfortable being under pressure as well as working towards deadlines
  • Ability and strong desire to work as part of an effective and collaborative team
  • Academic qualification in Maths/Economics would be considered as an asset
  • Excellent command of English is a pre-requisite
