Our client is an international bank, headquartered in Malta and operating across Europe. Steadily expanding, they are currently seeking to recruit a knowledgeable and pro-active individual to take the challening role of Operations Manager - Corporate Banking and Cards 

 

Job Responsibilities: 
  • Reporting  directly to the Head of Payments, The Operations Manager will be a critical player in the development of the Bank’s Corporate Banking product whilst maintaining the existent Cards products.
  • Be the main driver in the development of Corporate Banking products from a research, analysis, implementation and day to day operational perspective
  • Participate actively in the development and roll-out of an Online Banking Portal
  • Take full ownership of the existent Cards products and systems from an operational perspective
  • Assist the Head of Payments in managing and growing the Corporate Banking and Cards Operations team
  • Take full ownership of day to day operations including customer due diligence, transaction processing, customer support, reconciliations and other product related activities
  • Perform analysis and propose improvements to current work practices with a focus on system automation
  • Take ownership of all related documentation including Terms and Conditions, Product Websites, Internal Policies and Procedures, Internal Operational Guides and External User Guides
  • Assist the Head of Payments in communication with all relevant third party providers from contract stages to subsequent technical integration and daily usage
  • Keep adjourned with industry standards especially in relation to Corporate Banking and Cards
  • Report regularly to the Head of Payments on projects status, KPI’s, suggested improvements and specific issues
  • Execute ad hoc tasks as may be requested by the Head of Payments

 

Candidate Skills: 
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Banking, Business or equivalent
  • 3+ years’ experience within a similar banking role;
  • Experience with Corporate Banking Products;
  • Good Knowledge of KYC, Fraud and AML best practices
  • General accounting experience
  • Exceptional communication and organisation skills;
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced, deadline driven environment;
  • Experience with VISA / MasterCard card products will be considered favorably
  • Experience with NAVISION will be advantageous.
