Legal Account Manager

Job Information: 

Our client is a global player in the corporate services industry with representation in over 80 countries. The Malta office has been established for over 10 years and is looking to expand their team of legal professionals. They are therefore currently seeking to recruit a Legal Account Manager who will be working within Corporate and Trust Administration and reporting directly to the Director of Corporate Services.

Job Responsibilities: 
  • Handling and processing of legal and administrative matters relating companies, trusts and foundations 
  • Assisting with incorporations companies 
  • Assisting with the setting up of trusts and foundations 
  • Conducting Know-Your-Client and due diligence processes 
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with domestic and foreign advisors, service providers, banks, and other interested parties 
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with clients’ advisers, notaries and external legal and tax advisers 
  • Drafting legal documents such as management agreements, loan agreements, minutes, resolutions  and proxies 
  • Reviewing and assessing relevant legal documentation and advice provided by third parties 
  • Acting as director and company secretary for client companies where appropriate 
  • Ensuring compliance of client portfolio with applicable rules and regulation 
  • Ensure that clients’ records are kept and updated as required 
  • Opening/closure of Bank accounts and preparation of supporting due diligence documentation 
  • Ensuring that requests from clients and colleagues are dealt with in a timely and accurate manner 
  • Providing both verbal and written reports to superiors 
  • Assisting with audit requests and any other issues that may arise
Candidate Skills: 
  • Qualifications in law and trusts will be considered an asset 
  • Effective organizational skills, with ability to prioritize in a changing environment 
  • Proactive and willing to take ownership of processes with attention to detail 
  • Ability to manage a large number of projects and issues simultaneously and with tight deadlines 
  • Be self-motivated with a structured and determined approach to work 
  • High degree of communication skills, verbal and written with the ability to communicate externally and internally at all levels 
  • Two to three years' experience in similar roles within the financial services industry would be considered an asset
