Job Information: 

Our client, an international Insurance Management organisation, is looking for an Assistant Compliance Officer to join their team.

Job Responsibilities: 
  • Understand laws and regulations as they impact upon an insurance manager/company/intermediary
  • Develop, initiate, maintain, and revise policies and procedures for the general operation of Compliance Programmes
  • Educate on the policies and procedures and communicate awareness
  • Ability to perform a risk assessment and determine the level of risk that an insurance manager/company/intermediary is exposed to and relevant mitigation techniques
  • Due diligence procedures and ensuring that AML and CFT policies and procedures are up-to-date
  • Monitor compliance with laws, regulations, and policies
Candidate Skills: 
  • Must have 3 years experience
  • Financial Services background and/or related degree preferred
  • An awareness of Solvency II requirements would be consider an asset
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Maltese
  • Competency in MS Office and related programs with strong accuracy and attention to detail
